About me
Hi, I’m Cody (she/her). Here’s a little bit about me, and likely the best way to see if we’re a good fit would be to have a call.
I believe relationships (with ourselves and others) are one of the most important things we do. And they can be so hard, too. It can be so meaningful and healing to have someone sit with you (all parts of you) as you feel your feelings and share your experiences, to have someone sit with you who can really hear you.
One of my deepest beliefs as a therapist, and as a human, is that I’m here to be with you in this process, but not to tell you what to do. I believe that you know you best (even if sometimes things feel confusing or you don’t know what you want, or feel, or think). My hope is to help bring you back to yourself to allow you to have self-trust and emotional safety.
I know what it’s like to go through hard things in life. I’ve been told people appreciate my ability to balance humor with empathy & depth. It’s also important to me to be continuously mindful of my identities, life experiences, and positionality as we work together.
In terms of my training, I graduated from The Wright Institute in Berkeley in 2022 with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. I’m a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working with the Bay Area Gestalt Institute.
If you have questions or want to explore working together, feel free to reach out. I’d love to talk with you!
